Archbishop Visits St. Mary's in February

On Feb. 26,2008, Archbishop Edwin F. O'Brien 
toured our school and met one-on-one with students,
faculty and staff.

St. Mary's was one of three schools the Archbishop
visited as he took a closer look at the partners in Excellence
Inner CityScholarship Program (PIE), created to make
Catholic schools a viable choice for Baltimore families who
otherwise couldn't afford tuition.

Bishop Denis J. Madden, urban vicar, and Father Brian
Linnane, S.J., president of Loyola College, joined the
classroom visits. During lunch, Archbishop O'Brien facilitated
a strategic conversationon with local prinicpals about on PIE
schools' challenges and opportunities.
